A Corvette is not about transportation, its about inspiring and fulfilling dreams
The new Corvette was decided to boast a performance level of the current Z06 model. Chevrolet wanted the base model to be as powerful as their current 400 hp top of the line Z06. Along with this added horsepower, they wanted speed. Comfortable top speed in the 180 mph range. The easiest way to accomplish this was through reducing drag. But there were some problems. The new back tires were wider and the front has an open grill. That kills your drag coefficient in the wind tunnel testing. Also, the decision was made to go with integrated headlamps that were so small; they werent even available for the team to use in the design. They had to be made new. The functional rear spoiler integrates the third brake light and there is a diffuser that directs air past the exhaust tips. The car was shortened by 5 increasing the chances of drag-induced turbulence at the end of the car. But not everything was negative. The car was narrower and had lower ground clearance. The engineers not only tested this design extensively (almost 500 hours in the wind tunnel), they tested several models to come out with the current rendition.
Weight also needed to be shed to gain additional performance. Using more aluminum in the body structure was the biggest move GM made to reduce weight. The car had new aluminum parts to brace the main frame to improve crash worthiness. Also, the side impact beams were changed to aluminum instead of steel. The latching mechanism in doors was changed to an electronic version, which sheds weight, but also was new innovative technology. I thought they just added the new latches because they were real cool. The body panels were also changed to a different type of material. Fenders are made from different material than the bumpers and thats different from the hood. GM looked at 5 different types of plastic composites. The main panels are made out of a polyester sheet-molding compound that is reinforced with fiberglass. The 15% smaller new hood is 35% lighter, but 40% stiffer. The neat thing about all this technical analysis is that they made the car lighter, shorter, but stiffer.
Let me tell you about the glass. The rear glass is pre-curved, as you know. But the area behind the mirror is flatter. This eliminates distortion from hot and cold days. The side mirrors also were redesigned to reduce wind noise. They look pretty much the same, but the team spent long hours in the wind tunnel just tweaking the side mirrors. The other neat feature with the glass is the roof panel. The removable roof panel is polycarbonate, thermoset for the painted tops or transparent. Its the same tooling to make the panels, just different materials.
Theres more to making the corvette fast and fun. That part is the engine. Ill explain some neat things the team did on this new LS2 engine in my next article.

How to Cook a Really Crispy Duck or Chicken
If youre like me you love the skin on the outside of duck, if its crispy. The texture of the meal can totally be changed with a crispy skin.
The secret is to make sure the duck is scored across the front and salted heavily.
This helps dry up the skin and makes for a super crispy skin. You will not be the only one that enjoys this Crispy Duck Recipe, but everyone else at your dinner table.
Take the duck that youre going to use for your main dish make slits in the breast with a knife and poke with a fork. Salt the breast heavily use your discretion and taste. You can use this method for any recipe you can think of.
Just use the cooking instructions from the recipe you are using. Place the bird breast down on the baking pan and cook like that for about of the total time that the recipe says to cook it for, making sure to drain the fat from the bird, usually by sticking it with a fork under the wings and legs.
During the last 1/4 of the cooking use the broil on the oven to finish cooking up the breast. This should make the skin crispy while the duck is still moist. Since this way of cooking can be used for almost any recipe for crispy duck recipe you have, it gives you more choices for the texture you want to use for your meal.
Cooking is all about mixing things up and building your own ways of cooking and recipes.
Also since you are slitting only the fatty layer of the bird you can use that to tuck away some hidden seasoning. Try tucking your favorite herbs into the slits under the skin, as the fat melts away itll trickle down and out of the bird but first itll seep into the meat.
This can add a new dimension to the meat, making it even more succulent. Taking these tips you should be able to use your imagination to come up with many more combos. With crispy duck recipes you can add extra flavors and also add a whole new texture to the dish.
Use these two together to try out new things, using the crispy skin to add texture to an otherwise smooth meal. So the next meals with duck you cook try out some of these combos, just using your taste and imagination. There are thousands of recipes in books and the internet to mix and match with.

How Internet Marketing And Sports Made Me A Success
Man, I could visualize myself doing the same thing. I thought to myself "If only I could do that"! Later that year I decided to become a softball player.
Unfortunately it was alot harder than it looked. I joined a team that was near the bottom of the rankings, no one else wanted me. Why? Because I was a downright bad player. And I mean badly as in no good.
In fact I stunk! The only thing I had going for me was this fierce burning desire to succeed as a good softball player. The fire was inside me and I wanted to be "GOOD!" Now what does this have to do with Internet Marketing?
Just give me some time here and you will see where this is going. At 22 years of age I could not run, throw or hit. Nor did I have any special athletic abilities, at 5'7" and about 130lbs. I was not much of a softball player.
The team I joined used me very sparingly and rightly so. My butt was on the bench so often I was seriously considering buying pillows for my rear end.
The following year before the new softball season started. I purchased a book called "How to play slo-pitch-softball". This book was instrumental in my education and desire to become a good softball player. It had techniques on holding the bat, fielding, throwing, and running the bases. I read it thoroughly and followed its advice. That season I became a better player. I Spent much less time on the bench.
The next year I decided to become even better. I purchased a book called "Hitting a softball for distance and power" It thought me what exercises I needed for upper body strength, what type of bat to use for quicker more powerful swings. Clearly the following year I no longer sat the bench. I also purchased a book called "Leg exercises for speed". It took a few years but I became faster, quicker and stronger.
I was now in my late twenties and at 160lbs. a very good slo-pitch softball player. I had numerous teams asking me to play for them. Wow what a turnaround! It took me about 6-8 years to become a successful softball player. Now again you say what the heck does this have to do with Internet Affiliate Marketing?
Actually plenty. I am now in my mid fifties. At first I stunk at Internet Marketing just like I did at softball but I slowly began to get better. I read till my eyes burned and I still do. My website guzmansgreenhouse.com is now listed at the top for numerous keywords at google, yahoo and other top search engines. Am I getting rich overnight? Absolutely not. I am making an extra income.
Be sure to visit Successful Website for tips on how I did it.
Just like soft ball I had this Burning desire to succeed. I had to read and follow the techniques in books, ebooks, and numerous pdf downloads on what I needed to become a successful "Internet Marketer". I studied learned and became familiar with HTML, CSS, PHP, and many other programs. I also joined forums, blogs, and article writing websites that would help me in my quest to become successful.
Just like softball I had to stay away from bad neighborhoods. If you've done any kind of marketing at all you know the horror of getting bad or wrong information.
There were actually three ebooks that really turned things around for me. If you want to know which ones you can email me and I will tell you.
In conclusion I did what needed to be done to become successful just like I did in softball. Maybe you too are wondering how it should be done. Here is my advice to you. Develop a website about what you know and write good original content for it. Do not give up and continue with your "Burning Desire" to succeed. It will happen and you will become "GOOD"!
